YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

you questions answered

How are the tours free?

Our Athens walking tours have no fixed prices. They are based on name-your-own -price system.  You have the possibility of paying any price you wish, even nothing, for our tours.  The choice to remunerate the tour guide / local is 100% voluntary. We are confident in the quality of our walking tours and  that you will be sufficiently satisfied with your experience and you will feel you want to tip your tour guide/escort.

Will we be going inside the Acropolis on this tour?

No, we explain it from various nearby viewing points . So be sure to allow some extra time into your schedule to visit the Acropolis, especially if you’re on a tight schedule.

Do I need to book

We try and limit the numbers on the walking tour, so to guarantee your place we strongly urge you to book. Also departure times and places, may vary from season to season.

How can I join the Athens tour?

Easy.  We have tours running (almost) every day. Just fill out the reservation  form and we send you all the details

What languare are the tours given in

All our tours are given in English,

I am on a cruise ship for the day, do I have time?

Yes, We are very used to dealing with the day cruises. The tour always ends a few minutes' walk from the Acropolis entrance and very close to other major attractions. Always best to inform your local expert whether you have only a short time in Athens

How do I reach you from the Port of Piraeus?

The two best options are as follows:

A taxi should only take about 20 minutes and cost around 15-20 € (Make sure you establish a fixed price with the driver before getting into the taxicab).

Taking the train is a more economic way of getting to us. From the cruise ship terminal to Piraeus train station it will take you about 25 minutes if you walk (inquire with your cruise companies purser or receptionist about shuttles to the station).  Once you’re at the Piraeus station take the train to Monastraiki Station.  Upon exiting the train station take the Monistriki Square Exit.  ___________________.  You should allow approximately 40 minutes travel time from Piraeus Station to Monistriki station. PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN USING THE TRAIN AS THIS IS A COMMON PLACE WHERE PEOPLE RUN INTO PICKPOCKETS.
